WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

Were you the one stilling the fears
to a lost tot in the department store?
Were you the one dressed in red,
ringing your bell to help the poor?
Were you the one telling the story of Jesus’
birth to little ones in the church?
You were there delivering clothes
and food to those in need.
For our men still overseas
cookies were baked with much delight.
Shawls and quilts lovingly made to
keep others warm
while they weather the storm.
Where have you been?
Was it you?
Who sang carols, played the keys,
cooked, cleaned, typed, answered calls.
Was it you?
Team player, preacher, teacher.
It was you who showed your love
for the Savior born on Christmas morn.
